Integrate SourceFormatX Into LopeEdit

Format Source Code within LopeEdit

The following instructions allow you to format and beautify the current open source code file in LopeEdit Editor using the command line tool of SourceFormatX Format Code Tool. We used a free trial version of LopeEdit Pro Version 5.2, so if you use an older or even a newer version then several screenshots or menu items may differ from our description.

Add a Tool Menu that will invoke SourceFormatX

1. Click "Tools" -> "Configure External Tools...".

2. Click the "Add Command" button to add a new tool menu.

3. Fill in the form as show below: (Assuming you installed SourceFormatX in C:\Program Files\SourceFormatX\)

  • Description:        SourceFormatX
  • File Types:          (Leave blank)
  • Command:         C:\Program Files\SourceFormatX\SourceFormatX.exe
  • Parameters:        %FILEPATH%
  • Working Folder:   %FILEDIR%
